Dr. Jan-continued healing
"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from
him." Psalm 62:5
Dear Praying Friends,
We have received grace upon grace and mercy upon mercy from the Lord throughout Jan's illness. He is so good.
Jan continues to improve. She is able to walk more, has more energy, and is taking care of the home and cooking and feeling generally good. It seems to me she has more lung function. Thank you for praying and continuing to pray.
Some of you know that we had been planning for the last year to go back to The Gambia with all the girls and their husbands this June - last week as a matter of fact. The trip had to be canceled because of Jan's illness. So, instead, we decided to go and rest for a week with all the kids in a house near the beach on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It was great! We had lots of family time and some of the rest and refreshment that we have been advised to get during Jan's recovery. While there, in 100 degree heat, Jan walked to the top of hill that houses the Wright Brothers National Memorial - about 100 feet elevation - without stopping. Wow, that's improvement!
We will be going back to Allentown August 9, for a full lung checkup. We're looking forward to knowing the amount of lung function and healing that she has. We will find out then if we can be involved in ministry to Central Asian countries as before.
We're continuing to pray:
1. For complete healing and return of full lung function, and full return of Jan's stamina and muscular strength
2. For healing of Jan's post-herpetic neuralgia (lower chest pain) and for discernment of when to wean off the medications for it.
3. For a positive report for return to ministry travel in August
4. That God would be glorified as we tell of His greatness to others
We're grateful for you and for how God has answered your prayers. Thank you, dear members of the body of Christ, for upholding us in prayer!
Co-laborers,
Harry and Jan
